They are fantastic - I have the first 2 volumes so far, and love them. Its starts in a 28 days later kind of way (but explained away as actually being something that was written before 28 days later) and progresses onwards.

There are a few different versions of Book 1 - a trade that collects 1-6, a hardcover that I think covers 1-12 another than collects 1-24 and lastly one that collects 1-48 (in a smaller digest size?)

I personally am getting the normal trades, starting with this one:

Walking Dead: Days Gone Bye v. 1: Amazon.co.uk: Robert Kirkman: Books

Restricted myself to buying a few of these collections a month (I am also buying Y the last man, Wolverine Origins and some 2000AD trades) so that I dont read through the story all in one sitting.

Recommended.

Was a thread on this a while back, I mentioned there was something on IMDB about a potential TV series, seems there's still not much info on it:
The Walking Dead (2010)

Wiki has a little more:

Anyone know anything more about it / if we'll get it here in the UK any time soon?

And arrive they did. Excellent story boarding, and nice pace. Roll on two weeks so I can allow myself to buy 5 and 6! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I'm still lurking in the Graphic Novels section of Waterstones why I go to Bluewater. I was slightly overwhelmed at the X-Men collection and had no idea where to start. Of course upon reaching the end of X you reach Z which lead me to Zombies. It had never even entered my head that Zombies would make great Graphic Novels but there were literally hundreds data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 I really need to just take the plunge with something rather then "talking the talk" in these forums.
I do love the Zombie genre though. Its like a kind of Primeval Sub-Conscious fear of mine........all alone and being chased by undead. I don't have nightmares often but when I do it always involves Zombies. Weird !

If you want good zombie nightmares, do what I do, have a LAN session of Left for Dead 2 that lasts around 16hrs, eat nothing but sugar, high energy drinks, beer and pizza.

Then try and sleep.

Closing your eyes gives you nam style flashbacks, and then you wake up in a mess of sleeping bags and PC network cables mewling like a baby while your mates throw stuff at you to shut you up as you have woken them up with your disturbing cries.

Aledgedly anyway. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
