Not long finished Cormac McCarthy's 'The Road'.Throughly enjoyed it, but I was a little dissapointed with the ending.

I'm currently reading a graphic novel by Joe Sacco called Safe Area Gorazde: The War in Eastern Bosnia 1992-1995.

Good to see PKD being discussed.I've only read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, but I've got a whole list of his books I want to get through.

Refreshing to hear your comments on Tolkien, whose style I've always considered turgid, laboured whimsy.

I'm currently reading Stephen King's latest collection of short stories: Just Before (or is it After?) Sunset.I don't normally read short stories in the order they appear; this time I did and I'm sorry for that as the first tale is a pretty unpromising start.Still, I won't hold it against him as he's not often let me down in the past.

Hope it picks upReally enjoyed the beginning set in Afghanistan, but when they have to leave and live in America it really slows down. And I really do not care about his love life. I just got up to the marriage being arranged

Haven't read it, but I may look it up now.

It would have to be good to be better than the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant written by Stephen Donaldson.Absolutely wonderful books, very well written and with huge depth.Just waiting for the next instalment in the third chronicles to be published. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I can't put it down mate. I will definitely be buying the sequels, A Game of Thrones is a fantastic read. Apparently the rights to it have been optioned by HBO for a mini-series - they may be working with the BBC on it. I heard the tagline "The Sopranos in Middle Earth" being thrown around. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
