It’s cool to see I haven’t looked/posted anything in this section for a while but nothing has changed.

@Sonic67 so we do not have cheaper british sausages because the bad EU is imposing tariffs on our own sausages? Or what? What is stopping the farmers to buy that cheap produce for their animals all produced in the UK and make our food cheaper then? Ahh it must be those nasty europeans and theirblack magic voodoo!

Also, there is a lot of emphasis on what we would need to import. How about export with tariffs? 60% of what we sell goes to the EU! Or have we signed some trade deals I am not aware of?

Except you were the one with the rumour! Do you not read your own posts? //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif

And you aren't. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Nope. Keep up at the back.

If it has been cheaper to import food stuffs from the EU due to a strong pound then it happened. If the pound is now weaker and it is now more expensive then it will be local produce that is bought. You haven't read the thread? Why am I not surprised?
Well done. And if we use the pound and the EU uses the Euro then exports from the UK are favoured. It might even be cheaper for a French supermarket to buy some sausages from the UK than sausages from a French farm.
