Cameron and 'assurances'... said much the same about Coulson iirc

They've killed a French tourist now.

DandyAndy Publish time 26-11-2019 01:06:13

Not at the dizzy heights of Saudi Arabia state beheadings, where the corpse is flown dangling from a helicopter over the masses.

pragmatic Publish time 26-11-2019 01:06:14

A bit whataboutery that?

Stuey1 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:06:14

rebels in another extremist group in a separate country behead a French tourist because they have started air strikes against I.S and now it's a good idea for us to start too?

We are going to be bombing an awful lot of places at this rate...

It just seems like a good way to help them with a recruitment drive, the more the west gets its-self involved the more people will decide it's about time the west stops poking the hornets nest

Saudi Arabia Allies (token) of USA led airstrikes against terrorists in Iraq likely allies of us tomorrow, they behead people, lots of people all the time and then proceed to dangle them helicopters, very unpleasent as is whats happened to Herve Gourdel.

I would not rather get involved with a State as Saudi Arabia, who commit lots of monstrous beheadings.

So Jihadi John has been identified by the FBI.
They say he 'seemed to speak with a 'British' accent'
and they also said he had spent some time in London- but might not have been born there.

Wow- some deduction there then!
I could have told them that listening to the first 10 seconds of audio. (Love the term British accentdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Pretty sure the security services in London did the work anyway and passed it to the FBI

I hope the decision to carry out air-strikes, and warm support from the public, is not solely based on a knee jerk reaction to the Jihadi John's beheading videos.

The Parliamentary decision today should be considered very well. We have been here before.
In fact our contribution in terms of air power is less than a display of the Red Arrows!

Many military experts are saying, you can't fight a war with just a toe in the water. It has to be a serious effort with the goal of winning.

Pitty we don't have an carrier, were we gonna fly from?

Cliff Publish time 26-11-2019 01:06:16

A few Tornadoes may fly from England or Cyprus. We don't have a carrier, but a submarine might be in the area- any gooddata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7?

Our joining seems to be more of a token force, quite frankly.

As much as I won't shed any tears to see IS members bombed out of existence, the main thing the West should be doing is looking at why they are so hated instead of just being reactionary to events.

Got to stop these people getting angry with us in the 1st place.
