As above. The non EU numbers are higher but not the subject of any debate.

And those numbers are nothing to do with what you said. I must tell some of my US colleagues who are working in the UK that they are third world refugees... And the countless well qualified Asian staff in the NHS my daughter works with in theatre

Aren't they? Pretty sure it's migration in general that's being debated. It's pointed out by many we have no control over EU migration but that's it.

"Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has rejected accusations that David Cameron “backed off” over plans to cap immigration from the Europe Union in the face of pressure from German Chancellor Angela Merkel"
David Cameron 'did not back down' on immigration in face of Angela Merkel - Telegraph
The Telegraph seems to think that DC is talking about capping EU numbers. And who am I to argue with the Telegraph?

Aah I see you find one sentence in one article from one newspaper and base it all on that. Nice one.

No wrong, EU is higher.

I'm not a racist, I want the "The economically active and well motivated and generally well educated people who want a job" to come to the UK regardless of where they come from.I want to reject those that are a burden on the economy, services or have a past of or are criminal, where ever in the world people come from.
Is that so hard to understand or do you agree with this but think that Europeans are angelic beans that are genetically superior and born with a degree, so no point checking?

Does that include Brits who fall into the highlighted category of yours? data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
FWIW, this issue stems back to many British governments over many decades failing in their task to invest in infrastructure, building more housing, schools, hospitals and surgeries, public transport facilities, apprenticeships, etc.
Withdrawing from the EU and limiting migration will change very little if none of the issues I've mentioned is tackled. Nothing regarding the above will change under UKIP. That is why UKIP's argument is inherently flawed imo.

Ditto that.
However, many on here don't seem to be looking at the bigger/longer term picture.
This country cannot (currently) afford, nor does it have the resources to look after/provide (etc etc) for the population that we currently have.Let alone 70 million (possibly there already), 75, 80, 100 million.
In time, we'll reach that figure without an open border policy.//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif
Has anybody seen the state of our Hospitals? Roads? Schools? Housing? All struggling to cope with the enormous strains that are being imposed upon them.
Think of the future generations waiting months/years for hospital treatment.Children taught in classrooms of 50.People sharing a house with 10 others.Spending hours gridlocked on the roads in the major towns.OK the last one is happening nowdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
The longer we kick the issue into touch today, the more draconian the measures will be in decades to come.

I quoted one sentence.I could have quoted the whole article, but that would be long winded.I could quote loads of articles from the telegraph saying the same thing and concentrating on EU immigration.
"EU migrants could be forced to register with the authorities so officials can deport them if they are not working" from:Police checks for migrants- Telegraph
etc etc ad infinitum.
Not migrants, but EU migrants
