Ok. Picked up a 16 plate 1.4 TFSI A4 from Arnold Clark yesterday which has manfacurer's warranty until April 2019. Took it for a drive last night and the stop start is faulty (see pic). Also, one of the rear headrests is stuck in a raised position.

I believe that under the Consumer rights act, I'm entitled to reject the car as being of unsatisfactory quality and demand a refund. My concern being if the issue is repaired and returns further down the line after the warranty expires.

Going to see them this morning. Opinion and advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You have to give them a change to repair first. Instant rejection is only during the first 30 days of a new car if I am not mistaken.

The second-hand car I bought has a problem, what are my rights?

From what I can gather the 30 day rule applies to used cars too.

Arnold Clark offered to refund or repair. I've opted to have Audi repair it as it's in great condition and has only 6k miles on the clock. Some pics if anyone's interested:
