Mrs W has thrown her two pence worth in and suggested Vegas  1 other destination. I’m thinking California? Any beach holidays worth a shot in California? There’s Malibu isn’t there? Anyone been there? Anywhere else in California worth a visit?

my personal opinion- I have no inclination to go anywhere near Dubai and spent a day and a half in Vegas which was enough. I seriously couldn’t spend a week there (although appreciate others could).
Loved San Francisco and Yosemite and there are some nice beaches along that coast although the weather isn't always as you would expect.

We finished a 4 week roadtrip in San Diego a couple of years ago. It has some excellent beaches.

Our family just spent our last holiday in North Yorkshire, so I’d definitely suggest that you consider that place as well. The place has this stunning countryside vibes with great landscapes that will surely take your breath away. You can enjoy fun activities like rock climbing, horse riding, hill walking and more. Our family also booked a place from this holiday cottages North Yorkshire provider located in the historic town of Harrogate. And with the centuries-old building and modern shopping centres in there, we had a great time experiencing first-hand the history and culture of the place while going around. Lastly, there are also festivals and shows being held in North Yorkshire throughout the year. Check on their schedules before planning your trip so you won’t miss the one you like to attend. I guess that’s about it. Hope this helps.

I would suggest the Californian coast to cover your 'wants'. We took two weeks travelling from San Francisco, south to Monterey (then flew back from San Jose). Then two years ago stayed in San Diego for a week and travelled to a wonderful hotel in Tuscon for a week. Great weather, great food, amazing countryside and very friendly people.

We've been to USA 11 times, visiting various national parks. Just came back from Colorado (Denver, Aspen, Durango, Mesa Verde and Colorado Springs) and New Mexico. Amazing! Obviously no beaches!

All the national parks offer amazing scenery. Take your pick from Yosemite, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Lassen Volcanic, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Custer State, Wind Cave, Badlands. We've loved all of them!
