For the first time ever I saw Joe Abercrombie on sale in Tesco's.  In hardback Half a King can be picked up for £5   Small book @ 90k words though.

I thnk its a young reader book having a brief look? Slightly annoyed with this to be honest - I would prefer a distinction between the young and adult stuff, I picked up Dodger thinking it a discworld book to be incredibly bored by it, not anything I would ever think I would say about Pratchett.

I was disappointed too, but looking at some reviews there's not much between this and his other work - it's still very dark.
