I’m sure you won’t have to pay that for the modules. Try the Danish Audio Company (where I got mine) or PM Rob Sinden or Seriously Ltd who are members/sponsor here and see what sort of deal they could do you, before you view it as an option costing £3599.

... also, the Debut Carbon is unlikely to require the upgraded analogue inputs.

Or at least it’s not required at the start I suppose, and remains an option later.

Today’s review of the NAD M10 has to put that right at the top of the shortlist I’d say!

You could save money on the streaming option by using a Teufel Connector (Teufel Connector : Buy online at Teufel) at around £120, it has an optical out so you are only using it at as a transport. Works very well with my TDAI2170 as that is a Power/DAC so leaves everything in the digital domain until the signal arrives at the power amp side. The Teufel will sound exactly the same as any other streaming device because they are only transports if you do not go through the D to A conversion in the streamer.

Buying the Lyngdorf will make you smile and glad you found the extra cash to buy one. It was the best purchase I have ever made, it has got me off the continuous upgrade roundabout with HiFi.  RoomPerfect is a dream, both in ease of setup and in practice. I'm pretty convinced that the Lyngdorf is a good option and a local dealer has a trade-in for a reasonable amount..  I'll see if I can get a listen in soon.

Can I get some input on my streaming idea?

Currently I use my NVIDIA Shield TV (Android TV media player) to play Spotify through HDMI. I could of course upgrade service to TIDAL or Qobuz to get a higher res stream. Since it will be transferred digitally through HDMI and the DAC process will only happen at the Lyngdorf - would this not be a decent solution? Will this be a giant step down from other mid-budget streamers / will I miss any important features?

I think that should be a good option, and you can always try it and see if it sounds good enough. Try comparing to cd playback using a CD player as a transport and connected to the Lyngdorf via Coax.

I’m using my Oppo as a streamer connected via HDMI. I compared it to coax and couldn’t tell any difference.

The advantage of the Lyngdorf is that you have 3 HDMI inputs and an ARC enabled output so it’s more of a fully featured stereo (or 2.1/2.2) AV amp and you can connect your NVIDIA directly to the amp and I assume you can control via an app and therefore won’t need the TV on.
