Initially I thought this movie would just be lots of gun firing and explosions but I quickly realised that my assumption was wrong. The movie has an interesting plot and the script is witty and entertaining. With several twists to boot 'Half Past Dead' is well worth watching. The characters in the movie are at times larger than life but extremely watchable. The movie's fast pace ensures that the viewer is not bored and there also seems to be a lot of thought put into the relationships portrayed on screen. Ja Rule and Steven Seagal work well together and bring a comical side to the movie. It is, as I presumed, full of gun firing and explosions, but this did not take away from my enjoyment of the movie. Steven Seagal, as always, performs some impressing stunts which are always fun to watch. The music that accompanies parts of the movie is also good, reflecting the mood.
