Excellent acting, spectacular scenery,with strong attention to details to keep it all real. Wish there were more films like this, but that's what makes it such a gem. You can feel the crisp air, smell the pines and almost feel the railway iron rattle. Life was indeed hard, but like cider, not necessarily bad.
