A remake of the 1980's super-hit by the same name, 'Hero' is a lazy remake, that stands on a faulty script. Despite a huge production banner (India's Numero Uno Star Salman Khan is the chief producer), Terrific Music & Two Debutants who ooze commitment, Director Nikhil Advani fails to deliver.

'Hero' Synopsis: A boy and a girl find themselves stuck in a whirlpool of such intense love that they would do anything, go to any extent and face all odds for the one they love.

'Hero' has a fair first-hour, but a boring second. Advani & Umesh Bist's Adapted Screenplay doesn't engage. While the story begins with a slight pinch of energy, the second-hour is devoid of any entertainment whatsoever! 'Hero' doesn't emerge a winner & that's all because of the weak Writing!

Advani's Direction is below the mark. Production Values are top-class. Cinematography & Editing are well-done. Music by Various Artists is terrific. Action-Sequences are raw & rustic.

Performance-Wise: Sooraj Pancholi & Athiya Shetty deliver confidently in their debut performances. While Sooraj is superb in action, Athiya emotes naturally in the emotional bits. They both show genuine promise. Amongst the supporting cast, Aditya Pancholi & Tigmanshu Dhulia are wooden.

On the whole, 'Hero' is letdown by its problematic script!
