IN A NUTSHELL:
From the creators of 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Shallows, this survival thriller was directed by Mikael Marcimain and written by Josh Campbell and Matthew Stueken. With preposterous scenarios, it's both suspenseful and laughable at the same time. It falls into the traditional category that January movies are often the year's worst. Fly or die.

TIPS FOR PARENTS:
Alcohol, Smoking, drug use
Premarital relations
Someone dies of a heart attack
People in perilous situations

THEMES:
Hope
Love
Tenacity
Resourcefulness
Friendship
Loyalty
Forgiveness
Second chances

THINGS I LIKED:
You get to go to cool places like Mauritania and London.
For trivia buffs, the airplane in the movie is a GippsAero GA-8 Airvan. (I understand none of those words.)
Allison Williams is really beautiful, but I didn't like her character at all in this movie. Did you know her father is Brian Williams, the former NBC Nightly News anchor? Her mom is Jane Gillan Stoddard, a TV producer. Allison is one smart cookie, having graduated from Yale University. While at Yale, she was turned down for a part in a musical stage play but was a part of an improvisation group called "Just Add Water." When she got married to Ricky Van Veen, actor Tom Hanks was the officiant! Sadly, she is now divorced from Ricky. You might have seen her in Get Out, which was an award-winning movie people loved her in.
Who doesn't like Keith David? He's such a likable guy in many of his roles.
Pretty cinematography by Flavio Martinez and Labiano from The Shallows. And by the way, if you haven't seen The Shallows, I recommend it!
There is a lot of action.
Some of the CGI is very good.
SPOILER: There is some foreshadowing when Sarah refers to alcohol as rocket fuel.

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE:
The characters are super annoying, so you really don't care whether they live or die. They're paper-thin and super cliched with a plot we've seen before and done better. We really don't know anything about Alexander Dreymonn's character, other than Allison Williams' character likes him. We aren't given any backstories to make us get to know any of the characters.
Maybe I blinked and missed it, but I couldn't tell how much time had passed from the time when the couple first met to when they were reunited.
So much annoying screaming between the characters. Of course, I would be screaming too. Just saying...
Lame dialogue.
Terrible editing
It's definitely not worth going to the theater to see. Wait until it shows up on Netflix or something.
What's funny is that the characters never even look for parachutes.
The action in the beginning of the movie is fairly believable but then everything gets increasingly more ridiculous.

FUNNY LINES:
* "OMG, that must have hurt so bad. I can't believe I just did that." - Sara (Allison Williams)

" That was amazing what you just did. So stupid, but so amazing." - Sara (Allison Williams)

THE LINE YOU HEAR MOST OFTEN IN THE MOVIE:
"Jackson!!!!" - Sara (Allison Williams)
