Think he's a very good captain and worth his place for that alone. England aren't really missing his runs either.

50 off 12 balls? That's mental.

Yes that's very important, I'm completely wrong there.

I misread the BBC stats in the excitement!

I only saw the highlights too - I bet it was amazing live.

Yes, this subject was in article I was reading on the BBC cricket website; it was making the point that his very presence as ODI captain is so strong that it doesn't matter if Morgan scores runs or not. I beg to differ on that point.

Great batting, but it has to be said the bowling was absolute tripe. Medium paced half volleys which he kept smacking into the crowd.

Another fail by Morgan.
He was lucky he wasn't out as soon as he came in, he flashed at the ball and it fled through the slips.

I forgot all about it so no idea who won as I'm now watching Champions League football!

Of course I hope England won - Morgan can just do one.

Ashes 2017: England sending one of 'worst ever batting line-ups' to Australia

Won't be a whitewash but you have to question the selections. Can you imagine Ballance's non-existent foot movement standing up to Mitchell Starc in full swing, even at Perth?

England in Australia 2017-18 - Ashes Tests
23-27 November - 1st Test, Brisbane (00:00 GMT)
2-6 December - 2nd Test, Adelaide (d/n) (04:00 GMT)
14-18 December - 3rd Test, Perth (Waca) (02:30 GMT)
26-30 December - 4th Test, Melbourne (23:30 GMT, 25-29 Dec)
4-8 January - 5th Test, Sydney (23:30 GMT, 3-7 Jan)

Watched the highlights programme on Sky and am thrilled by the England win. But for the rain, we will never know if England would have got there by natural means. 107 needed from 94 balls with Buttler and Ali set before they got the boundary that made the difference.

All the English bowlers were ripped and it was an amazing innings by Evin Lewis before he was undone by an ankle injury and had to be stretchered off.

Moment of the match was probably Kyle Hope's fine catch, leapt like a salmon to get rid of Morgan.

So England have the win and with it, the ODI series.

That’s a pitiful batting line up England are taking. Ballance and Vince? What an absolute joke. There’s no chance of England coming back with the Ashes.

Doubt Stokes will be going now that the ECB has seen the footage of the fight.
