Think how much shoe leather you could have bought for the cost of the fine.

You screwed up & got caught. Pay up & move on.

Your vehicle must have had no tax on it for longer than 62 days for NSL to clamp it so it’s your own fault for not taxing it.
Also the police do have powers to take it off the highway if it’s not insured and I’ve seen that happen.

My advice is tax and insure it like the rest of us.

I forgot how this forum could lean toward the judgemental, however I found some really helpful places. I'm not about to say more though as it could be incriminating.

Not judgemental, just that we pay tax and insurance to keep our cars on the road, you asked a question and obviously didn't like the answers you got which didn't agree with your viewpoint.
Also I didn't know that pigs could read anyway nor any animal.

I tried not to be judgmental, please be careful what advice - from wherever you get it from that you follow.

Just remember that those giving the advice won't be the ones being prosecuted. I would suggest you pay the fine and move on. When it comes to tax, the laws tend to be well written and well tested in court, so it's doubtful you will find a loophole. They will prosecute nearly every time and things like this have a tendency to spiral.
