That might not be a fail, possibly an advisory, but if you were thinking of doing it anyway, may as well do it before the MOT.

Very true i do hate tyre wear problems, i did think the tracking might be off. I have been lazy this year with the car. Is there any benefit to replace both tyres?

I had both fronts replaced at the same time and its done 14k on those tyres.

This is the passenger side just to show the difference.

Ah, the pattern is quite different across the tyre so of less concern.

I think i will still go to the tyre place and see what they have to say as it still looks worn down on that side by looking at the other ones, I might even move away from Goodyear tyres.

MOT place will not care about uneven wear. I get uneven wear across the rear tyres on my car and they never mention it. Even a nail is just an advisory.

With the new mot rules being more strict i thought it might be a fail, as it looks bald i know its not really that bald but it doesn't look right.

You are overthinking it. It’s neither bald nor bold.

No need to replace those. With almost 4mm, they're good for another 6-8k. Keep them on for now and replace at the end of the summer.

Absolutely.

They are only 50% worn or so.

We got a bit sidetracked with the tread looking worn down, The post was originally because my tread gauge was reading 3.6mm but the tread looks so close to the wear block indicator.
