Which Kindle?

Yeah, although I did not add it above, I wrote on another forum a collated version of the above, but added this, talking about Calibre:

You know how you can do it? You create a fake book, add a cover picture and obtain metadata then rename the book by adding a prefix of [01] [02] [03] to your trilogy, then upload the books, then view them by cover mode......and voila! However, you cant do this for books bought from Amazon - and those 99p deals really rack up your collection. Yes I have looked into jailbreaking - I spent a good 4 hours on forums the other night, and my Kindle Paperwhite already is Jailbroken to pick up covers on sleep. There is a collections mod, but my firmware makes it unusable currently. So I spoke with Amazon (and also asked in the PW2 has the option - it doesnt) and then after that online chat, emailed my feedback:

I find it easier to store my books on my PC, and keep 10 or so on the Kindle itself. Any more than that and it's a pain (as you know!).

Theydon, there are ways to do it with Calibre and series, but it basically adds the books to your kindle with the name 01 02 03 etc

Unless you are in collections view, then it looks as you would expect.

This is how I manage my series of books
You have to configure Calibre in a way to set it up.  If you want, I'll dig out the syntax I used.

I have the entire bibliography from authors such as Lee Child, John Grisham and other authors.

I like to have them display in chronological order so I can read back the same way

so dragging up a bit of an old thread but thinking of getting a Kindle for xmas. I have seen reviews and comments about ads. Am I right in thinking this doesn't include the UK versions and only the US?

Pretty sure the ad based Kindles were subsidised ones that are not sold here.

Thinking I may sell my PW1 and buy the new Kindle Voyage.

Has anyone here have any experiences of the two side by side?

Is it worth an upgrade?

Hi mate, I'll take a couple of photos in a bit and post them. I immediately noticed the voyage being crisper. It's gorgeous in the hand too and as I mentioned on another thread, the leather case is of real quality. Be back soon!
