Going on our family annual summer holiday in 2 weeks and I have twin daughters (15 years old) wanting to take books to read.
One daughter is fine she has chosen some books and we have bought them, the other has no idea what she will enjoy to read.
So looking for suggestions please, good books/authors that should make good reading for a 15 year old girl.
Thanks in advance.

Alexander McCall Smith is good.

Either try the Number One Ladies Detective Agency series of books or the 44 Scotland Street series or the Corduroy Mansions series.

I'm just reading his latest No 1 Ladies Detective Agency book, the Limpopo Academy Of Private Detection published this year which I found in a charity shops yesterday for 99p.

I'm trying to recall what my daughter was reading at that age. A few authors come to mind:

Malorie Blackman (Noughts and Crosses series)
Scott Westerfeld (Uglies series)
Michelle Paver (Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series)

I can't remember what age she read these and there's a lot of similar stuff. It's mostly fantasy or similar, so not much good if that doesn't appeal.

She may have already read them but

Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games series)
Stephanie Myer (Twilight series)
Sophie Kinsella (Shopaholic series)
