You people need to learn about some of these guitars cuz a tokai reborn is the exact replica of a 58 les Paul and there vintage strata are replicas of pre cbs fenders an they used woods we could no longer import after 71.  Lawsuit guitars although not as valuable as often far better than their American counterparts

Is this what you call a 'relic'd' thread.

My cousin has a Tokai Strat that he's owned since the 1980s and it is a lovely guitar. I didn't realise you could still buy them until recently when I saw an advert for them.

However...I don't need any more guitars, I don't need any more guitars, I don't...

Yeah man honestly dont do it. They're really cheaply made. I had a tele copy... it was a potato. Expensive chinese fire wood. Buy a Fender and be happy...

That question was posted 7 years ago! The Japanese built Tokai guitars are often as good equivalent Fenders or Gibsons.

Really? They look and feel cheap. I wouldn't buy one in a pink fit.

I’ve had a couple Tokai’s, bought used so no idea how much if any fretwork/setup went on since it was new but my experience has been very good.

Like most brands they do a range from very cheap and cheerful to high end. The Les Paul I had was a really nice guitar (Korean built rather than Japanese) weighed an absolute ton which is why I sold it, but other than that quality wise easily on par with a Gibson.
