From the Independent/ Sky News:
Brexit Party is UK's 'fastest growing political force' with 85,000 new members, Farage claims

Nigel Farage said 85,000 people have signed up to his new Brexit Party, boasting “the fastest growing political force in the land” will smash the two-party system.

Almost £2m has flooded in within a few weeks from grassroots supporters, ahead of a predicted victory in the European elections later this month, the former Ukip leader said.

I can see with TM latest brain storming idea to offer concessions, like staying in the Single market to Labour in an effort to get their support for her terrible WA agreement, it will anger both Conservative and Labour supporters. They will be turning to the Brexit Party.*

*Or, according to Libdems, the country has changed its mind and they will be front runners

In my career I’ve learned be careful of ‘fastest growing’ claims.

Some software that I used to work with used to claim it was the fastest growing, and technically they were correct, but reality was like this (numbers made up for demonstration).

Product A, 20,000 customers, 200 new customers, 1% growth.
Product B, 50,000 customers, 1,000 new customers, 2% growth.
Product C, 2,000 customers, 50 new customers, 2.5% growth.

Product C is the fastest growing product, true but they are only winning 4% of the new customers.

Since seeing that, I’ve never paid much attention to ‘fastest growing’ claims.

Cheers,

Nigel

Don't we need a GE before they (BP) will have any influence?

So around 0.5% of the population of the UK that voted Leave have donated to the Brexit Party?

Maybe, but neither Labour or Conservatives are in any mood for a GE. The country, I would surmise, is very angry at the way both parties have behaved after the referendum.

I believe the Brexit Party is useful to make sure we leave. If we do that, then it will have served its purpose and I suspect people will look at the main parties again.

Brexit Party 'Fastest growing Political Force'

Its certainly impressive that the Brexit Party have gone from not existing 4 weeks ago to being favorite to win  most seats at the EU elections. They certainly found a gap in the market..

Apart from general social media/publicity, I’m still not entirely sure what it is the Brexit Party are actually going to do to bring about us leaving the EU? Conservatives are doing enough to themselves to screw up their voting and labour are a waste of space already!

Change a single vowel, and you've certainly got an apt description of the Tories.

I’d have expected more to have donated, especially with the mess that the Government are making off leaving.

The same way that UKIP forced the referendum to be held.

Take away enough voters that the main parties have no choice but to deal with why people vote for them.
