I call it Sainsbury's local, or if I go to the next one, Little Waitrose.

Private and independent schools are another issue altogether. Who is funding them? There is a lot of hyperbole about Russia interfering in politics which is so far nothing more than a conspiracy theory, but nobody talks about the foreign influences in schools.

I believe academies do follow it, though by law don't have toYep sounds a long way from true conservatism. Did Angela Rayner come up with it?

A crazy man from a City State in Italy funds 1000s of British schools and preaches all sorts of hate, scientific inaccuracies and religious dogma. Is that what you mean?

Some are ... US evangelical and Saudi Wahabbist funding of dodgy faith schools.

I believe in abolishing all faith schools (independent and state). But that's another topic that we've already got a thread or two on here.

Interesting way of putting it. Would you put it the same way for all religions?

Ab-sol-utely. All state funded schools should be religion free (but should follow a national curriculum for RE.... Which doesn't exist).

Our local convenience store was known as the "Spar" and is now the "Best One"

It's also run by a local family who are members of the community, rather than the Co-op which isn't on a corner.

That they sell spices and other ingredients not available in the Co-op is a bonus.

I would agree, with all religion being taught on the basis of how they were founded and established. Almost tying it into teaching history too.

The problem with RE teaching is that it is generally not based on how the religion was founded, just on how it is practised. It is also heavily sanitised and doesn't mention how violent religion historically is.
