Depends if you can afford to burn the £1000?

Bitcoin is quite volatile, but there is a good chance it will continue it's upward trend and be worth a lot more in the future especially with Japans adoption of it.

Like most investments though, you could lose all your money and Bitcoin is infinitely more likely to do that than something like investing in the FTSE or something safe like a Vanguard LifeStrategy fund.

Look in to the crytpocurrency market in general.  It is very volatile but the rewards can be big.  There are many altcoins available but do your research first before investing and only invest what you can afford to lose.  There scam coins but there are some great coins with a big future ahead of them

Can anyone advise on bitcoin trading? On local bitcoins I can see people buy it for £1900 and then sell them off for £2100 on the same day making a £200 profit from each trade.

Why would people buy it for £2100? This seems very profitable.

There are fees for both buying and selling, also with price fluctuations there is risk. I can assure you that unless you have wodges of money there is little easy profit in buying and selling Bitcoin.

This is called short trading buying on the lows and selling on the highs and people can make a lot of money doing it, if they do it correctly.  Chart reading, market trends etc all come into play when doing this.  People buy on the highs (2100) thinking it will go up.  Long term i think bitcoin will go up further until regulation of the market comes into play.  But I think the real money to be made is in the upcoming altcoins

I'm not trading.  I'm buying Litecoin monthly, as part of my retirement plan.  No thoughts of trading it.  Fees aren't great, which also puts me of trading it.

Buy and hold.   If it does well, I retire early [emoji106]

Okay guys, wished I'd looked at this a few years ago when it came on my radar but was still dubious, but now I have 10K to play with in these markets. What sites does everyone use to buy/trade etc looking to invest mid to long term.

Also how safe are these sites, IE when selling do they pay out immediately etc

Anyone got a good link to what to look out for when picking a site to use etc

Many Thanks
