Aww bless. They need to work a little on their presentation, and content, not least respecting the views and votes of others.

There is nothing liberal nor democratic about this party.

A real shame in my opinion the UK can do with a proper liberal Democratic Party.

Believe it's a good move for them . I don't agree with it  but it is a move that moves them apart from Labour that are offering a 2nd referendum for voters that went to remain in the EU . It's as simple as vote Lib Dem to revoke Artical 50 , day one .

I might of agreed pre Brexit , the political landscape has changed though and this more radical focused approach will appeal for many that never accepted the reforendum result . I fear for Labour though .

They won't get my vote but I like the approach.

Just a note.

You can win a majority in a GE with 35% of the vote. If the plan is to win a GE and cancel Brexit that's even less democratic than a referendum requiring over 50%.

She has to overcome the leave result to stand any chance of power, and bearing in mind over 60% of constituencies (irrelevant in a referendum where there is only one constituency- something many MPs have conveniently forgotten) voted to leave. It will never happen.

And when are they changing their name? Calling themselves democrats is false advertising IMO.

She is dishonest too.

Liberal Democrats will halt Brexit ‘on day one’ if they win parliamentary majority in snap election                                                                                                        Jo Swinson says she is standing as ‘candidate for prime minister’ in election which may come within the next few months                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                www.independent.co.uk                                                                                “Brexit will hurt our economy. Thousands of car manufacturing jobs already lost: Honda in Swindon; Jaguar Land Rover in Birmingham; Ford in Bridgend; Nissan in Sunderland. And more, if we leave.

In reality :

Honda are consolidating production in Japan as the trade deal with the EU enables this. They explicitly denied it was anything to do with brexit.

JLR are investing hundreds of millions in future production. (As are Mini).

The Bridgend engine factory is closing because of reduced demand for the engines they produce.

Nissan in Sunderland are consolidating the production of one very low volume model to Japan. There are no associated job losses.

Surprisingly she didn't mention that old favourite of Airbus, who confirmed they will stay in the UK. Or Boeing who chose the UK ahead of other EU countries.

The Lib Dem senior politicians need to stop the easy-way-out rhetoric, step back and think seriously about what the voting public want.

Someone said something about "a liberal is best siding with those who are governed, and not those who are doing the governing".
