I feel the same way about Corbyn.

Wouldn't stop me from accepting him as a legitimate PM though.

Penny Mordaunt and Liam Fox have both been sacked.

Well now I've heard that from a random poster on the Internet, I'm convinced.

Well sacking Liam Fox earns him 1 brownie point with me. Fox shouldn't be anywhere near frontline politics.

I thought Penny resigned first? I may be wrong though.

He's taken office now. So your statement is out of date

But seriously, such is the nature of Brexit, nothing good he does will be of any consequence unless he sorts out Brexit. That is the beginning, middle and end for many of the population now, nothing else matters.

It could be a GE for Christmas. I'm sure Brenda will be salivating at the prospect!

Edit: Incase anyone has forgotten Brenda

That says "possible." Anything's "possible." But hey if you trust it as a source.

Boris Johnson’s win brings Brexit Party voters back to Tory fold

The Conservatives have picked up voters from the Brexit Party since the election of Boris Johnson but lost support to the Liberal Democrats.

A Times/YouGov poll conducted over the past 24 hours in the wake of Mr Johnson’s election as Conservative leader put the Tories on 25 points, the LibDems on 23 points, Labour on 19 and the Brexit Party on 17.

While the level of support for the Conservatives is unchanged, the polling suggests that Tory voters who defected to the Brexit Party are already returning to the Conservatives under Mr Johnson.

Last week 30 per cent of those who voted Tory in the 2017 election said that they would defect to Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party. In the new poll the figure is 25.

Personally I do not believe he can deliver on the withdrawl in that time frame but we needed a brand new approach from the goverment to at least try to deliver it. For me we need to put it to bed ( not a chance in hell ) and move on to domestic ( when hell freezes over ) issues .

Neither do many many others. It's still either no deal or revoke for me. I don't think there's any deal to be done whatsoever. But that's for the other thread anyway.

Totally agree about domestic though. It's been neglected long enough.

I only heard a snippet on the radio but checking the Twitter feed, it says:
Penny Mordaunt wasn’t given a reason when she was sacked from cabinet by Johnson. It was a “very brief” meeting and friends suspect she was axed because she supported his opponent (rather than, say, Iran).

So it does look she was sacked.

I see Grayling is also out - he was "allowed to resign" - which presumably means he was going to sacked otherwise.  Maybe the reason was gross incompetence - in which case surely its is a bit of kettle calling pot!
