I can't support that. She's blocked on the basis of something she might do, not what she has done?  That's some Minority Report Pre-crime ****.   Who decides what is in the interest of the public good?

The UK Government Department tasked with securing our borders I'd assume?

Not sure if you've done any research into her background but it's not as if the Luton leafleting stunt was the first time she's courted controversy.  Like any extremist, if someone chooses to live their life deliberately trying to goad a reaction then they run the risk of being used as an example.

There are a whole host of people on this list from all religious/extremist backgrounds.  Should they all be blocked because of what they might do or incite others to do in their name?

Blowing people up, shooting people, stabbing people, driving cars into people.  That's an extremist.  Goading reactions with leafleting is NOT extremist.   She's right wing sure, but I'd question she's hard right, let alone an extremist.

Ok, how about another example. You mentioned the fact that the US can block entry to anyone with previous drug offences.  That goes so far as single low level offences at any time in your life. Do you think that’s a problem or, ‘thought crime’?  The list I linked to from Wikipedia shows multiple people blocked from entering the UK and, from a quick skim through, the majority are because of what they ‘could’ incite rather than what they have done.  Surely it’s a case of reducing the risk?

@Marv What are your thoughts on this? Rather than just dropping in a couple of links, give some details.

Yet the EU Parliament have no problem giving a platform to her to speak on?

Well, she was invited to speak by, "Populist UK MEP Janice Atkinson of the Europe of Nations and Freedom (ENF)"

Populist MEPs Invite Lauren Southern to Speak at European Parliament in Protest of Recent UK Actions | Breitbart

"Ms. Atkinson, who serves as a Vice-President of the ENF, a group which has included Dutch firebrand Geert Wilders, former French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, Italian La Lega leader Matteo Salvini, and others, slammed the UK government for detaining and refusing entry to Ms. Southern under the UK terrorism act."

I'm not sure the fact that a Right Wing MEP invited a Right Wing Youtube 'Celebrity' to speak is some sort of proof that the 'EU Parliament have no problem' with her.

I think it's a massive over reaction and yet another example of how draconian and Orwellian this country is further becoming.
We should be living in a free society where arguments from the left or right can be heard freely. Tommy Robinson has a large presence of social media so its not like  she's meeting with some underground figure. If someone dos'nt agree with Islam or immigration for example they should be able to talk about it freely without it being a taboo subject.

We let people who have fraught for ISIS back into the country. Lauren Southern is hardly going to hatch some terrorist plot while she's here.

Would you suggest the same freedom of speech is offered to non-British muslim hate preachers who want to enter the UK to spew their vitriol too?  I assume their rights are on an equal standing as Southerns'?

Britain a Christian country so its a grey area if they are going to be preaching anti Christian messages.

Preaching to behead the non believers and those who criticise Allah is different to saying look what immigration has done, the Koran says this and that etc.
If they want to be more subtle and redpill people on why they should just accept Islam into their lives i'd have no problem.
