Jim is a firecracker.  He has a very short fuse. Cross him at your peril.

Don't worry I know just how to cheer Jim up. Unfortunately though I have to play it cool for a bit now after my recent ban, so we'll see if he's still angry in a few weeks

Has anyone clarified if the Tory leadership contenders fall under the remit of "campaigning" or official MPs?  Only that Boris has now apparently suggested using over £9billion of funds put aside to deal with No Deal Brexit issues to offer a tax cut to those paid between £50-80k and currently paying 40% tax.  With the national average wage being around £30k, I assume he's not throwing more misleading figures around which won't come to fruition when scrutinised?

This is why Boris is dangerous.
He talks about a hard Brexit then this.

See that Boris is saying that he will increase the 40% tax threshold to £80k.  Whilst I would benefit from this, even I think this is crazy.  That is throwing a load of tax income away at a time when budgets are insufficient and creating a bigger divide between the poor and the wealthier.

Cheers,

Nigel

I am wondering if Boris is planning a re-branding exercise of May's deal

"The deal" without the backstop maybe?

The dangerous part is that he gets drawn towards Trump's behaviour.

In order to be selected Boris needs the support of 8 or more Tory MPs, who just happen to earn slightly less than 80K, coincidence?

If he's going to do it, it should be across the board so that low income peeps benefit too (they have been doing of late but I guess he could go further).  If only to keep the left wingers at bay who'll no doubt say he's a nasty Tory helping the rich (like £50K earnings is rich lol (might be in the rest of the country but not London)).

Budgets are insufficient because we've still not got a handle on public spending.

Somebody really needs to get a grip on this but nobody is brave enough.
