Yes but they won’t.

An evil country that we and the US are beholden to for their oil and our arms sales. Nothing will happen of any great consequence.

It’s disgusting that we have any dealings with Saudi Arabia at all, but money talks.

Also a major coup and bargaining chip for Erdoğan if a recording actually exists as no western goverment with SA dealings wants that to surface publicly. Plenty of £££€€€$$$ coming Turkey way to make this go away .

Will other nations in the West do the same ?

Germany announced plans to stop exporting arms to Saudi Arabia in the wake of the killing of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Agence France-Presse reports.

Speaking to reporters in Berlin on Sunday, Chancellor Angela Merkel announced the arms freeze and said she will continue working with international allies to coordinate their response to Khashoggi’s murder inside a Saudi consulate.

“I agree with all those who say when it comes to our already limited arms exports [to Saudi Arabia] that they cannot take place in the current situation,” Merkel said, according to AFP.

Germany last month approved 416 million euros ($479 million) worth of arms exports to Saudi Arabia for 2018. Berlin’s previous military exports to the kingdom primarily consisted of patrol boats, AFP reports.

“We are far from seeing everything on the table and the perpetrators being brought to justice,” Merkel said.

While Khashoggi was a U.S. resident, President Donald Trump has implied that the White House has little obligation to investigate the incident, emphasizing that the journalist was not a U.S. citizen. Trump has also insisted that killing not interfere with U.S. arms salesto Saudi Arabia, citing a $110 billion deal with Riyadh he announced last year.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia (AKA the Kingdom of Saud) and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Is Khashoggi really dead?

Wonder why this one has pricked the attentions of Western mass media, Saudi Arabia the nasty state, is rather apt at making its Princes disappear, little is ever mentioned about them. So Jamal Khashoggi death, is it just a diplomatic no no bumping someone off in the consulate, or is it because this victim was a reporter (Washington post), and American citizen, so a bit close to home. Maybe both.

And it’s not very comforting to know from the Saudi Arabian state they have a rouge hit squad roaming the world; hopefully the members of this hit squad don’t get hold of any military hardware we (UK) have sold them.
