Probably because their is not  an Israeli alive, who needs reminding of the Holocaust.  Its embedded into their physic.   They probably get annoyed with the fact that you think they need reminding.   Its not just a case of one or two family members vanishing off the face of the earth, but entire towns and villages.

How can anyone be so insensitive, as to discuss the Holocaust and then bring a football tragedy into the discussion.

It gets worse. Two   Three more labour councillors have been suspended.
Blackburn mayor Salim Mulla wrote stuff on Facebook saying Israel was behind IS bombing Paris.
Nottingham city councillor Ilyas Aziz suggested Israel be relocated to the US.
Other stuff as well.
And Burnley councillor for very bad anti-Semitic abuse towards a Jewish footballer.

I have to say, from my experience in the Muslim world, so much is blamed on Israel. Most, tin foil hat stuff, but if it gets on the internet, it must be true!  I don't mean official news outlets, but conversation between normal intelligent people. I just hold my tongue and nod.  Not surprised to see this in Muslim areas in Britain as well.

I think it would be an excellent idea if Muslim Councillors were relocated to America as well.  Just to make sure their  middle eastern compatriots LOL were being looked after.    Wonder what the yanks feel about all this relocating.   

From my experience most councillors are about as much use as a chocolate ashtray on a Kawasaki in August.
