Which was exactly my point in the original response....together with the questionable sense of humour of a joke that actually was already done, and I actually liked the first time it was done. So not quoting the source properly, and lousy comedy timing...That was all I commented about

On the topic again....It is good to learn that Labour 'suspended her pending investigation'.

Does anyone know what that actually means? How long for? Can she still work as a Cllr Chika Amadi just not represent labour?  Or will she be back to work soon if she promises never to do this again?

It probably means she will be allowed back into the fold once the dust has died down, and everyone has forgotten about her.

They have done the same with Livingstone; despite his vile remarks, and refusal to even acknowledge he was wrong, let alone apologise, he was suspended rather than banned. Mate of Jeremy's of course.

I'm sure he will be back at some point.

That, unfortunately, is exactly what I expect...I really hope we are being proven wrong as on the face of it the evidence is overwhelming, and someone like that really has no place in public life.

Livingstone, and the continued anti-semitic stance of labour really surprises me. I guess legally they are just about on the correct side of the line, but way too close for my liking....

I think it just feeds into their obsessive hatred of all things Israel (as in the State), and their unqualified support for the Palestinians.

Hence Jeremy's "friends from Hamas" and all that nonsense; anything or anyone anti-Israel = good.  Anything or anyone anti- Palestinian = Bad.

They are as binary as that, hence they quite easily slip into antisemitism without even realising it.
