Calais Migrants Caught On Video Rushing Ferry

I've just seen those pictures of migrants storming Calais port. The ferries had to but the ramps up and lock doors.
Calais council have threatened to close the port because they cannot cope. I actually sympathise with them. This is cannot just be the responsibility of Calais council and its ratepayers.
Britain would do well to post some border guards there because this is our problem as well.

Lock up anyone without a Passport in Calais, I'm not sure about France but many EU countries make it a legal requirement to have documentation at all times, and any Brits there will have their password with them.  Anyone else, well they need to answer what they are doing there.

Stick some boarder guards out there though too, it is chocking going through the boarder and other country's make a big effort, coming back to the UK there is often no one checking documentation except at airports.

Deputy Mayor of Calais was just on TV and he said that Britain is making itself just too attractive to migrants. He suggested that rather just looking at security on the border we should be looking at our own generous welfare and support system that is attracting them in the first place. He said, they know they can get a job easily in Britain as an illegal.
He has a point.

What a nightmare at Calais....Apparently the migrants are having a demo this afternoon as they are not happy with things....
