Yes.  Understand

Just think that IDS and his resignation has nothing whatsoever to do with the leadership. In the short or long term.

Mmmm, Conservative low class, against Davis and Gove as well, not sure he will, unless it's a Frank and Claire, double bluff house of cards style.

Davis is a maverick Tory, he's not typical of their Eurosceptic right in that he's a strong civil libertarian (whilst also pro-capital punishment )
- remember him with Shami Chakrabarti, resigning then re-contesting his seat in a by-election over Labour's Counter-Terrorism Bill extending detention without charge for suspected terrorists from 28 to 42 days? The extension was dropped from the bill after the HoL rejected it.

No reason why the Tories can't pull their own JC out the hat.
If you remember that JC was not even mentioned in dispatches for a good proportion of the Labour leadership campaign, the new (June 24th) leader could be anyone.
The big names all have horrendous quantities of baggage and don't deserve a place in power.
If/when the people vote out, they really aren't going to be in the mood for more of the same from those who lord it over everyone.  So, none of the headline candidates.  Look to the shadows.

The old political order is on its way out and change is afoot. Political parties had better take note and change with the times.

Corbyn sees this and is forcing change, or at least a transition, in Labour party strategy and thinking. Recent polls suggest Corbyn and the Labour party is doing well and it might be Corbyn has a realistic chance of becoming the next Prime Minister - but who knows, its early days.

Against this the Conservative party requires a new leader and a new political strategy to counter the growing Labour threat. Who in the Tory party can make the necessary changes and meet the challenge?

Never say never but the Tories have a very different process for electing leaders. The Parliamentary party narrows the choice down to just two candidates before it goes to a vote - the former being a significant check and control against the loonies in the grassroots electing someone without significant backing in Westminster.

It's a shame (or not) the Labour party didn't carry out their own checks and control before they appointed their own loony

So we'll get to hear IDS's thoughts if AM can keep his mouth shut for more than 5 seconds
