Much brighter than the 50W halogens they replaced

There are only 4 LEDS in each bulb so I  am slightly concerned they are overdriven 1W LEDS, but that's only because I have never come across a 1.5W LED.  Can you overclock an LED?

you can pump more power through but it affects the longevity and efficiency of the led if it isnt rated that high

are they longer that the normal halogens ? I have some fittings that I could get away with them in, but others they would stick out if they were too long

Here we are, apologies for the fuzziness.

They are 1cm longer than a standard 50W halogen (on the right).

i think the gu10's i got were the same size i cant remember - i will post photo when i get home on friday

mmmmmm.

Most, if not all of my GU10s are 35w.
it might just work.

I think they are 3W and supposed to be 35W equivelant

They look just like the ones I got back in November:

Very pleased with them so far.  As you say they do seem much brighter than the 50W halogens they were replacing but this may just be because it is a white light rather than a warm light as the lumens output is lower on the LED lights compared to the halogens.

I have to say I much prefer the light from the LED bulbs

I also bought an ecozone daylight bulb:

And this is really good too.

I'm waiting until I have done a big extension before changing out all the bulbs as light fittings will be changed completely.
