If you connect your pc to the inverter can you get a real time wattage generated from it?

yes it does download it here

Mastervolt. The world‘s leading brand in maritime, mobile and solar energy solutions.

u can install it and play around ..once the panels are connected it will light up with all the data ..

panel volts
house volts
solar current
mains freq
historical data
soladin temp
also the is a max watts which can be reset every day it a good way of seeing
what your maxi watts for that day ..most ive ever has is 498 watts which is from 4 x 130w kyocera panels
its a great tool and it abit like facebook u cant stop loading it up and taking a look lol

When installed the panels today all went well until i tried to switch it on. I have 110v at the DC isolator however i do not get any lights on the Soladin 600. Even just having the mains connected looking at the manal i should have a red LED binking. So it must dead out of the box. Will try and send it back for a replacment tomorrow.

doesnt sound right .. mine will not light up in the evenings in any way .. but in the day when the voltage goes abit over 240v in the house  the inverter flashes red for about 5 to 10 min to find the right freq of the mains .. then starts up again

im not sure whats the min volt the soadin needs is it something like 70 volts ? to start up ..how many panels do u have ??? i think most chuck out around 17v ..

i have 6x80watt, open circuit volts are 21.6v and under load 17.6v.
I might have had the series wiring messed up on one of the panels. I am currently using thick 3 core flex but not using the earth. Sound easy but up some ladders with brown and blues going to blue and browns etc it gets confusing! Just shined at 2 million candle torch on the panels just to make sure the pos and neg is correct at DC isolator and is all good. Still got 7v with the torch. Just need some light now!

Still no joy!
Packed the inverter up and sending it off tomorrow to be tested, i hope they find it faulty because i have not got a clue now. I have read i can do a short circuit amp test with my multimeter, Will have to give that a go at the weekend. Shame i was so hoping to start generating some power! Wil keep you posted.

All up and running now!
I sent the Soladin off to be tested and it came back fine. Looks like trying to do wiring in the dark with just a torch is not a great idea. Re wired the panels saturday morning and now getting the orange glow! All i need now is some sun, very dull and grey.

I have ordered the pc link cable should be here mid week. The last couple of days its been generating,i would guess not alot. I think i have got the bug because i have just ordered 6 more panels! My soladin is fully loaded so i will need another. These will be mounted further down the garden where i can point them true south as the ones i just mounted are facing SE. The current ones are at about 16deg angel as the roof is not very steep. But from what i have read i will lose about 8watts.
