For one latte you probably don't need 1/3 full with milk. Also do you have a thermometer for the milk? You'll be surprised how quickly it heats up. Think 65/70.C is optimal temp.

Yeah, been aiming for 60. Just had better results using full fat milk and chilling the jug too.

Skim milk makes a better denser foam and is sweeter, but use whatever % fat you like.

And between 65 - 70 is correct, any higher than 70c and the milk changes and can taste burnt.

Timed the last double espresso at 30 seconds. Was lovely. Think I will program the machine to this time limit from now on.

I have cracked today, I can't drink coffee through a drip coffee machine anymore and I'm just going out now to buy a Delonghi but not an automatic, the coffee out of the drip is alright but I miss the crema and I need a proper coffee!!!

It will do for me until my other appears back and I will always have a spare should anything go wrong again.

They now have my automatic have had since Monday but apparently an engineer is looking at it , oh well it's getting fixed under warranty, but their painfully slow, I want it back yesterday!!!

Now I've reduced the double espresso shot to the correct volume, it is soooooo nice! I just want to keep drinking them!

Would you mind letting me know your settings, which coffee, grind etc,  so I can give it a go?

I'm still pretty much hit and miss but enjoying trying!

Just ordered some beans from Pact. They sent me an email saying I'd get a free Hario V60 with my first order. Anything for a freebie!

Illy medium roast espresso pre ground. One heaped scoop with scoop that came with machine. Medium to firm tamp. Extraction times at 30 seconds. Job done. Rich and smooth.

Thanks. Will give it a go. Do you use the single shot button or the double? And do you just hold it down for the 30 seconds?
