So P Day is quickly approaching, and I find myself realising I don't actually know how to use the pizza oven. Any tips for starting/maintaining the fire/embers?

And most importantly, favourite pizza toppings. I'm a pepperoni guy myself

I hope it comes with seasoning instructions, but you need to start slowly, ie a tiny fire to just warm it through, then a slightly bigger one, etc so that you gradually get up to cooking temperatures over several sessions.

I was told about that, should I just start with some small kindling fires, then soft wood, then hard wood (small amounts)?

I think so, I'm sure @Thug can advise.

You need to get the oven and the stone at a certain temperature for it to work.

The stone base and oven temp need to cook the base and top equally otherwise things won't be right.

Correct temps I can't advise on just yet as I'm still experimenting.

So far I'm getting about 400 degrees on my stone.

The oven will apparently reach 500 degrees, so that's my target [emoji16] not sure how I get there, but that's part of the fun, right?

That's right, I would find it boring if stuff worked first time out of the box.

I'd guess that I've done about 30 pizzas in my potable pizza oven now. Still getting there.

I'm doing a gas mod next week for it. Looking forward to getting that up and running.

Is that on the Uuni3? I've seen the gas mods, it looks very promising!

RIP Wahreo.

Can I have your Uuni 3 once you're gone, assuming you've not wrecked it in the blast?

Yeah, uuni 3.

Apparently there's a manufacturers Gas Mod coming out in August (TBA)

I want the Gas now.

Once the Gas Mod comes out it'll be an amazing Pizza oven IMO.

I still think it's very good already.
