You'd also spend less as you got fuller and fuller whilst walking around

Birdseye (Maybe Ross?) Chicken Rissoles (<sp?) I miss them SO MUCH!!!
A childhood thing and yea, I am sure they were full of...bad stuff, but I loved em.
On toast, Ketchup....just leave me to eat it

I wish they would come back, very sad right now....

Vita Maltz - it's an alcohol free malt beer that I used to drink as a kid in Germany,  tesco did stock something similar but it was nowhere near as good.

You evidently have all of the above options readily available.

I don't actually, but I choose to drive to them because it's worth it. The closest butchers is 5 miles away, which is probably about 8 miles away from the supermarket we use (they're in opposite directions from our house).

People favour convenience over quality. Fair enough if the closest butchers is 20 miles away.

You mentioned butcher   fishmonger   grocer   supermarket for everything else.
So let's see what sort of journey you need to do if you need everything.
Then I'll decide how mental I think you are.

Fully agree. And bread = bakers or even better do it yourself at home. Can't recall the last time I've bought a loaf.

Supermarket 3 miles
Street stall grocer ~7 miles
Butchers 5 miles
Fishmongers same as grocer (pretty much next door to each other).

But in life you have to be efficient. We don't just drive to these places and back.

We got a bread maker in September and since then we've only bought 3 loaves of bread... all for my son's 2nd birthday party. Making 10  loaves in a bread maker in 2 days is a bit much
