Recommendations for a Curry House in/around Gloucester

In my new job I'm spending quite a bit of time in Gloucester.  I'm struggling to find a good curry place.  I've tried Indian Memories and Baburchi and neither impressed me.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good curry house in or around Gloucester?

An easy 25 min 'foot down' cruise along the A419 dual carriageway Southbound brings you to ::: Lalbagh Restaurant ::: in Swindon. Won some awards too...

I do enough driving in the day not to have have another hour at the end of it!  However, a note made of it for future reference.

Funnily enough, the office is in Quedgeley.  Are you sure it's an indian?  According to Google, the only Ruby in Quedgeley is a Cantonese?

Out of 10 I'd give Baburchi 5 and Indian Memories 5.5.  I hoped there'd be something better and in the Gloucester vicinity.

If you don't mind nipping across to Cheltenham you will find :

The Curry Corner Restaurant - Home of the First Family of Indian Cuisine

It's the best Indian I've ever been to.

Wow, they appear to have a set menu for a number of people at £35 per head!  May have to weigh up the cost of that one!  "Expenses" may be a bit of a push!

Maybe its the celebrity connection that puts the price up!

Rick Stein “Great food"

Michael Palin “the best curry from pole to pole”

Sir Richard Branson “Amazing food, the best I have tasted”
