Christmas food shopping

Just been and done our food shopping for christmas. Total came to £467 . We paid £287 due to discounts and things.
What you looking to spend or have you spent? we usually spend £200 for two adults and two cats.

Just spent around £350 and still have what I call the 'posh shop' to go!

For 8 of us and we would usually spend around £150 a week on a normal shop so not too bad I guess

My christmas food shopping this year cost me £20 and consisted of 36 cans of Magners

Thats the great thing about buggering off to the Sun for Christmas - We'll do the remainer of the food shopping new yrs eve when everything is half price so double bonus

Supply and demand. They take advantage too, for instance dried fruit shot up 50% during October when people start buying cake and pudding ingredients. Even the basic groceries cease to be discounted this time of year.
