SACD & DVD-Audio Bargains

I thought i'd create a separate thread for any SACD & DVD Audio bargains.

To start us off I have found the DVD Audio version of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John for £12.99 (inc. postage) on ebay from a seller who currently has more than 10 available :

This seems to be cheaper than the SACD version and from some of the opinions I have managed to find, it is apparently slightly superior in sound quality.

Good thread idea, I'll add one of my bargain discoveries from a little while ago as it's still available, can't gaurantee it's the SACD version, but that's what I received(was only listed as CD   DVD) so should be safe to assume it still is

Can either of these formats be played on a first generation (i.e. 60Gb) PS3 ?

I'm pretty certain the first gen model could play SACD, although it might have been the US model only . Sorry, I haven't really helped have I!

DVD-As will play the alternate DTS or DD soundtrack but not the hi-res MLP track, as per any DVD player.

I used to own an original UK 60gb PS3 and it could play SACDs

Great sounding SACD even if youre not the biggest EJ fan.

One of the best albums that EJ has produced IMO, and at £5 should be snapped up. I think I paid between £6-7 for my copy. Go for it.
