Yeah but we're not comparing the PS4 to the Playstation 'Classic', we're comparing the Playstation 'Classic' to the original PS1.

Theres no way around it, the original Playstation is THE way to go.

But in the modern era, digital options are plentiful and good. Finding a good original PS1 is one thing, finding the games is another - hence the popular scene for digital PS1 content elsewhere emulated faithfully.

i think the best best way to go is ps3 plays all ps1 games on disk alot of games can be brought digitally and its hdmi

That's actually not a bad idea. Certainly better than buying the PS 'Classics'. Think I might actually do that, get myself a PS3 again. We're talking about one of the older PS3s, yeah? The first versions?

The main issue is the price of the PS1 games.

I have CDs, mate. Quality is phenomenal compared to what you hear on those streaming sites.

All PS3’s will play PS1 discs. It’s the early, fat ones, that also played PS2 discs.
