Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Discussion Thread *Part 2*

I've been trying all weekend to complete the FMJ challenge on the SCAR and I'm only up to about 20 odd kills I've noticed myself hesitating on a kill in the hope that the enemy is going to duck behind a wall or something just so I can get another FMJ. Dunno whether to persevere with it or not - I'm not planning on using the extended mags anyway, this is just for the 10/10. I don't think I'll bother going through the same faff for any other weapons.

I'm trying to be creative and find all the places where campers might be hiding (I've even started taking the odd pot shot into walls on Terminal, Scrapyard, etc. in the hope of catching someone).

I have exactly the same problem. I believe that if you put sitrep pro on you can shoot claymores through walls and they count as FMJ kills. I'm gonna try that. Surely even I cant miss a stationary claymore that doesn't shoot back

Nice one, I'll give that a try - does shooting a TI through a wall count too?

I can do without Ninja while I try to get this challenge completed. Knowing my luck I'll just end up joining games without any enemy claymores though.

Something else I just remembered from last night - what's the rules with winning/losing CTF "overtime"? We were in a CTF on Highrise, the game ended with a draw so it went into overtime and we lost but neither side captured the flag and I didn't get killed so it wasn't sudden death.

Same for overtime on Sab - that is a bit confusing too.

Basically its first team to reach the others flag - no need to return to base - as soon as you pick it up you win. Also you only get the one life as well.

i got most of mine on invasion, you know that little house with the stairs round the back? thats a smashing spot to get people, either wait for folk to appear on the balcony (someone always does) or go into the house and sit behind the couch and wait for folk to enter and shoot then through the chair. try upstairs in the shop across from there too, good spot to get the folk on the balcony and there is a table lying on it's side in there that folk don't always see you behind when they get up there. got loads on terminal too, some daftie always hides in the cockpit of that plane or snipes up the back passage (oh err missus)

shooting through windows counts as FMJ kills too so underpass can be good for this; shooting from the buildings.

just shoot through each window in turn if you can

ditto with SCAR, ACR and M4A1

been recommended today that highrise/terminal are good for FMJ kills as through GLASS counts - wasnt aware of this till now

I finally got the FMJ on the SCAR - I tried sitrep and shot a few enemy claymores through walls but unfortunately these didn't increase my FMJ kill count. It wasn't a complete waste of time though as I managed to the the "How The?" challenge complete (kill someone by shooting their claymore through a wall).

Quickest way to get the FMJ complete seems to be on HC TDM but I started getting a bit cheesed off with all the snipers on the "open" maps like Wasteland and Estate (no killcam so you can't see where they are hiding).

I don't think I'll bother trying to get 10/10 on any of the other guns, it's a bit too much of a faff.
