Question Split screen (offline) multiplayer games?

What are my options here?

My GF likes the odd bout on the xbox, but only games we can play together via split screen. She has no interest in any sports games (football etc). I bought Mortal Combat X but she hates that as she always loses...

If you want outright split screen fun then you can do a lot worse than the Lego games. They’ve done loads for a lot of different movies so plenty to choose from.

Modern warfare remastered has a split screen waves mode. You face waves of combatants on ever increasing difficulty. Used to play this alot with the other half on PS3 and now PS4 otherwise your restricted to platformers and racers as far as im aware. Rayman legends one of the more recent additions

I've had a look on Amazon at COD, but it says content download required? My internet is too slow for large downloads (2mb adsl), hence the offline requirement.

Not sure what the content download is but you can buy the MW disc and it is not an online game it is a local play split screen

Best to have a look on Co-Optimus Website for Splitscreen Co-op and MP.

I think the Content Download means DLC or Updates or just the same cover for the other version where it had to be downloaded before it was released as a seperate game.

I went out and bought COD 'spacewars' legacy edition which included MW (2 games for an extra couple euros..bonus I thought). However, upon receiving MW had to be downloaded...doh!

So I bought a SNES mini

Halo and gears of war series are good multiplayer split screen games. Also a lot of the resident evil games are co op and are a lot of fun.
