i'm assuming you cant take orders until you get confirmation of the extra stock. Might be worth mentioning that as your phone might not stop ringing

are you still taking pre orders at your branch? as it may be a long drive but i got a week booked of and i either have a 360 or dont!

LOl thats a thought we are not taking more orders until we can guarantee stock. this is to avoid dissapointment.

i would recommend however if people ring up on monday evening or tuesday morning when we should know how much extra allocation we can get hold of.

Hmm, just phoned my local store and they said " How can we sell them when we are a 2nd hand store? We will only get them in when people bring them in for money" So thats a no then??

Anyone would be well advised to take a claim of such stock level with a pinch of salt, and act accordingly. If you do have that many units, then I would suggest it is out of line with any sensible distribution policy, as CC is known for second hand goods, not new, and yet you have received an allocation larger than most games retailers. That alone should make a purchaser wary.


Furthermore, the fact that all other CC have no idea about the 360 makes me even more worried.

All I suggested was that people take care.

Strange, can you let us know what store that was? I can only assume that the sales person you spoke to was unaware that as a chain we have them but that store hasnt.

I suggest all people who have pre-oredered one at this store ring CC head office, on an independantly verified number to check this story.

hmm i just called MY local store, and he said as wakefield is a much smaller place he VERY MUCH doubts it, he said in comparison the local game is only getting 6! and whats more, his store 0 zero zip

you have to go into the store in person to buy the console!

i'm not sure store size has anything to do with it? more like a bit of forward thinking and getting stock which is available to the national chain??
