Hey guys just got an Xbox one x and am looking to get a splitter that will allow me to watch output on the TV in 4K HDR @60 fps and split to a monitor which is currently at 1080 60fps.

Ideally, the splitter will also support 4k HDR to tv and 4k HDR to a monitor when I upgrade my current monitor in future.

There is a thread on the forums here with people comparing various HDMI 2.0 HDR splitters.

4K HDR PC monitors are a waste of time for now, later in 2018 we may see some reasonable offerings, but using a PC with HDR is also a problem as Windows is not really suited for it and there is very little content. See TFTcentrals review of a high end PC HDR monitor from Dell for example.

I know the monitors are sub-par just now that is why I suggested I'd be upgrading to one in future.

Thanks for the reply but this switch is 3 input to one output, i would need something that takes one input and provides two outputs.

Ah no problem. I ordered one so I can connect ps4 pro and Xbox one x and get 4k rather than keep changing the connectors as I only have 1 4k connection on my monitor at 60hz

This is going to be expensive, you need a device that will take your signal and then create two new outputs from it, one being 4k hdr and one being 1080p.

The only device I know that will do this is the HDFury Vertex, although I am not an expert.

Vertex 4K60 4:4:4 600MHz | HDFury.com | Connect and Fix everything in HDMI

@Joe Fernand may be able to advise better as he pointed me onto a similar device which forwards 4k HDR and splits audio via hdmi.

Oh I just wanted one where I could connect sky q, xbox one x and ps4 to my monitor which has 1 4k output then select the source I wanted via the remote and play on consoles or watch sky and get 4k at 60hz on all 3 devices

That would be a hdmi switch, I am sure that is possible but will have a seperate remote to the TV I believe if it's not just selecting the most recent device to send a signal.

Switch is many into one
Splitter is one into many
