Ssd does not improve a games performance whatsoever. They save a few seconds on loading times and that's it. An ssd won't give extra framerates. Loading times.
At least when I have my new ssd installed I'll a few extra seconds to share my experiences of playing at 4k ultra in all games. Bet you can't wait.

Which gpu have you got? I imagine from your somewhat envious reply you are gaming at low res. Maybe you should check out my YouTube 4k gaming channel to see how games can look for the privileged elite

it can improve some texture loading and occasionally can help with pop in. Red dead has some poor pop in, helped a lot moving to SSD. Some loading times are a huge improvement, Of course will never affect FPS.
Off top of head ages ago bf4 was a minute down to 15-20secs. Same with Forza 7, 45-50 secs down to less than 20 i cant remember but i do remember moving the game within the first half an hour of purchase as the load times between races were infuriating off standard hdd, shaving huge time off of loading helps with the flow of the game when loading is required regularly.
Completely essential purchase these days.

Send me the link to your channel then.

I'm on a 980ti. Considering you said you were getting 4K maxxed out on a 970 i'll be good for a while at my resolution of 1440p.

Never said maxed out mate on the 970.
And when I posted videos of my 970 doing witcher 3 at 4k the forum bullies who said that the 970 couldn't possibly run witcher 3 at 4k, had those videos on here taken down. I suspect the truth hurts, hence the censorship from the forum bullies
Your 980 is very old tech now.
I'm not sure how you would know that the 1080ti cant run games at 4k ultra when your rig is so outdated. By the way, I've still got videos of my 970 running witcher 3 at 4k on YouTube if you are interested. It's always those who haven't got the technology that seem to know what it cant and can do. Second hand knowledge my dear chap ain't the real thing.
Don't forget that YouTube channel of mine. I'm looking forward to your comments!

Seeing is believing.
