I've not actually played this yet despite having it pre-installed, but I've got tomorrow booked off work so the projector will be getting fired up tonight and I'll be diving in, may even have a few cheeky beers too

For me a big changer is the soft shadows, turn them off. Might just be my preference but looks soo much better overall and at distance with them off.

Well not too sure what has happened, but since the other day, game has started giving me problems, in game menu flickering, showing half a screen, seems like a few people are having the same issue, was suggested to go from Vulkan to Dx12, and for some reason that worked.

Love the game, but getting it to runa at a stable framereate is so damn annoying, will definetly check out all the above videos.

Must be a patch they released. From the videos it seems that there a lot of dependence on the hardware you have to hire well it runs.
For me, once I got past the anti virus issues stopping it launching it's been solid. Running mostly at 60fps, with occasional dips to 50 in very demanding areas (although not always consistent why).
(For info, MSi 1080Ti, i7 4790K, 16GB RAM, running off a Samsung SSD)
It's a shame these technical issues are so widespread as it's an incredible achievement in many ways. The way the game keeps expanding in an organic way as you spend more time in the world really pleases me. I keep coming back to the feeling is like Westworld the game.
Hopefully Rockstar can get it working well for everyone soon.

Going to give this a few months to sort itself out and get cheaper. I played it on the PS4 so know what its all about so not in a hurry.

It must have been the patch, after some more investigation just now, it seems to be linked to FXAA disabling it seems to have sorted the problem out.

I never had a problem launching the game, it was just these last two days, i started having some problems, but hopefully the Fxaa has sorted that one problem out.

Same here Msi 1080ti,  17-8770k and 16GB Ram running off the Samsung SSD.

Agreed the game is really amazing, i am just asat in awe in some places just looking at the scenery.

Ahh westworld, now that good be a great DLC spin off.

I am sure they will get it working before long, it was the same with Gtav when that was firet launched.

Considering you have already played it on the Ps4 then it is a wise choice.
