Hi all, I'm new to PC Gaming... so new, I don't even have my rig yet.  Technically I'm not entirely new, but I've been out of it for at least 7 years so I've lost touch with everything.

I am going to start saving up for a PC rig as of today and only game on my PS4 and XB1 with exclusives.

I'm assuming it's better to just start fresh than try to upgrade an off the shelf home PC 1 piece at a time.  Like swap out the motherboard, then work on video card, ram, etc?

Which of the above can run a game at 1080p x 60fps on Ultra and then high?

Seriously, you should take a look at my gaming library as it is and my 14% completion rate of games on PS systems.  lol.  So PC gaming may just save me some money.

I want to experience them all at least.  Unless they are really crappy.  Right now I'm into the single player experiences, but I go through phases of loving MP games (latest being Destiny, Titanfall, etc).

The £750 spec will be fine for a few years. Don't forget that you will also need an operating system.

So since I'm 'murican it'll probably cost me about a grand then.  Ok, so 8 months of saving... maybe 9.  Better hop to it since I only take about $150 a month for random stuff.

Is there a way to make it so I can get started at around $600 or so and then upgrade slowly as I get funds without taking too much of a hit by replacing stuff?  I'm assuming the motherboard/PSU/Cooling system will be the things I can't skimp on and the rest I can upgrade as I get money?

You'll probably get them cheaper in America mate. I'd say up for the lot and then try to get it all as a single go. no point paying twice for the same thing.

I agree with Cha1ky. Save and get everything when you have the cash. By then, the recently launched Skylake platform will be more affordable as well.

$1000 goes slightly further than the £750 build, prices differ quite a bit between the countries as based on exchange rates 1000 USD = ~650GBP. I can spec something up on PCPartPicker if you want using US retailers. As the others have said, you're best doing it in as big a go as you can.
