this may be considered sacrilege but i personally always preferred both rage AND quake to doom.

this is a good comparison.....  especially to the new mad max reboot, tho Rage came out 1st.

I am downloading rage 1 and will be playing it on weekend lets see how is the game.

its good... nothing in it what so ever is original, but everything in it is polished and works well.
i played on xbox 360 and it frankly blew me away how good it looked and ran, i suppose on a high end pc, and considering the age of the game it wont be as impressive now.

megatextures rock however imo!.

I am able to install Rage on my computer and it is running perfectly smoooth.
My PC specs are.

i should hope it would! when Rage came out that system would probably be higher than even the best machine money could buy!.

you may even get it running at 4k... (just a guess)
