They used to be I haven't tried a diff sim card in one for a few years so must have changed.

An alternative could be to enable the double tap screen setting

Just tap the middle of the screen to wake up, loving my 512gb Note 10 5G, it's very quick compared to my Note 9.

Just double tap the screen,  the lock screen lights up along with where to place your finger .

It's the screen size that does it for me. Bought the note 9 for the same thing, this thing has awesome real estate.
