I read yesterday that the new Samsung S10 finger print scanner does not work with a tempered screen protector applied, wether it's true or not !!!!

is there any concrete news on the note 10, i'm sure they mentioned the 9 would be the last and they merge the 2 phones into one stand out product???  or have i misread that somewhere.

It's not true, there already are other smartphones with fingerprint sensor in display but they are not ultrasonic like s10 (s10 will be the first one with ultrasonic sensor), and this is a huge difference because the image of the finger will be in 3d and not only 2d, this means it's far more secure and very difficult to reproduce by others. It's an enormous difference, for security, data's, payments ecc...

I’m looking at getting the S10 . The only slight concern is there are rumblings that the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor may be problematical when using screen protectors. I’m sure it’ll be ok but if not then I’ll likely go for the Note 9 instead.

I'm too keeping my eye on the S10 . Currently on a S8  and blooming love it.. hopefully by the time my contract is up I'll get a good deal.

I currently have note 9 not sure if it will be worth trading in my phone for s10 and keeping my note 9

Got a busted up Samsung S8. Screen needs replacing. Contract up in March but can upgrade now. Just waiting for the S10 release. Not that I will be able to afford it, but hopefully it'll lower the prices of the S9 note.
